TRUMP IMPEACHMENT TRIAL-LESSONS IN INSTITUTIONAL STRENGTHS, INTEGRITY AND INDEPENDENCE OF THE LEGISLATURE

The impeachment trial of the 45th POTUS, Donald John Trump, truly has sharply  divided Americans.

However, there is one strong take away for me in all this, no matter what the outcome may turn out to be. This trial has once again brought to the fore, the importance of having  true Federalism and Independent Legislature/Judiciary that are  occupied by men and women of character and integrity.

Just close your eyes and imagine if this episode is happening here in Nigeria.

By now, Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff,  Nadler and all those, courageous  Democrats, would have either been dead, impeached and hounded by the EFCC.

By now, the guys at the Presidency would have dipped their hands into  the FIRS and NNPC purse to take N90bn and N1trillion to bribe the members of the NASS, who will each outdo each other in the scramble to secure the largest portion of  largess🤣

By now, there would have been massive eruption of mass killing and destruction of the properties of the hated Ndi Igbo and other southerners in the North for daring to even mention im... not to talk of adding ..peach of their own son and messiah .

Do we truly  know why this impeachment trial of Donald Trump has been more of a harvest of intellectual pugilism and deft  political brickmanship?

The answer is there imbeded in the less than 7000 words US constitution. A truly Federal constitution, that was donated by mutual consent of  fiscally independent and autonomous  federating  constituent units that make up the US and the independent institutions that arose out of it .

It is a constitution that provided the strong foundations for Americans  to elect from amongst a pool of intellectually sound and excellent men/women of strong character. (Anyone of those members of the US Congress and Senate can easily serve as Mr President.  They are all that individually sound  and competent) . A constitution that was built from bottom up.

Here in Nigeria, a  66,000+ words document, that truly represent the minds and works of the devil is what we parade as constitution.  Tufiakwa!!!.

A verbose apocalyptic script of death , poverty,  misery and retrogression that was carefully packaged and translated from the abyss by Abdulsalam Abubakar and co to yoke everyone to hades.

Let's stop deceiving ourselves.  Until we discard this 1999 satanic verses and replace it with a modified version of the 1960 constitution of Nigeria , this jungle will never make progress .

For those of you, who still believe in your dove sellers in their shrines,  who continue to deceive you with tales of a great Nigeria under this 1999 constitution,  please pick up your brain and bolt with your legs .

If truly we have in a majority fearless and discerning  religious men and women  in Nigeria, what they will be telling you guys every friday and sunday they gather you in their shops is to just go,  destroy and replace the  1999  satanic verses, called constitution with the 1960 version .  That should be their only  massage in this 2020 everytime they gather you guys to mouth inanities. This should be the first fruit they should demand from you.

God has already helped us. Help yourself .
